Territories in transition
The climate battle does not stop at our borders. Thus, we deploy our action in the regions, in Europe and around the world, and favour cooperation with European and international stakeholders in the ecological transition.
In France, we provide local support with our 17 regional departments and our 3 territorial representations in metropolitan France and overseas. We provide a range of offers adapted to local issues and implement integrated approaches, consistent with territorial public policies, in particular with the Recovery and Ecological Transition Contracts (CRTE).
ADEME is recognised as a reference agency, facilitator of the ecological transition in France and acts at the European and international levels. We include in our 2020-2023 Objectives and Performance Contract (COP) the UN Sustainable Development Goals and the 2021-2027 multiannual European programming, which aims to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050.
ADEME in Europe
In Europe, we serve as an expert, innovator and share best practices. In France, we deploy European aid for the ecological transition in the regions.
ADEME on the international scene
We represent our line ministries in international bodies and work concretely on priority areas of intervention, such as in Sub-Saharan Africa, within the framework of cooperation agreements.
